Ashley Spires

I’m Ashley Spires, a trial attorney with Childers, Schlueter & Smith in Atlanta. I help people and families facing life-changing injuries from medical malpractice, defective products, trucking crashes, and unsafe premises.

About Me

I’m a trial attorney with nearly a decade of experience handling all aspects of litigation. At Childers, Schlueter & Smith (CSS) in Atlanta, I represent people who have been seriously injured and families who have lost a loved one because of medical negligence, unsafe products, reckless trucking companies, or negligent security. I’m licensed in Georgia and Kentucky, and I’ve tried cases in both state and federal courts.

Before joining CSS, I was a partner at a national civil litigation defense firm, where I defended nurses, doctors, medical practices, product manufacturers, and Fortune 500 companies. That experience taught me how the other side prepares and defends cases — insight I now use to build strong claims for injured clients.

Today, my work includes representing individuals affected by devastating conditions like Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN), victims of violent crimes due to inadequate security, and people hurt in catastrophic trucking and commercial vehicle accidents. I also handle cases involving nursing home negligence and dram shop liability.

I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, earned my B.A. from the University of Mississippi, and graduated from Emory University School of Law in 2012. I live in Buckhead with my husband, our son, and our Gordon Setter, Remi. Outside the office, I’m an active member of The Cathedral of St. Philip, support AtlasStrong at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Center of Advanced Pediatrics, and enjoy Kentucky basketball, cooking, skiing, horseback riding, and live music.
